On 14 October, 1891, at the 4th total annual getting together with of the North Greenville Baptist Association, a momentous decision was built. Previously, an amendment to the charter in 1950 changed the brand to "North Greenville Junior School," and the term "Junior" was deleted from the name of the college or university in 1972.

In 2006, the university commenced offering the Grasp of Christian Ministry and the Grasp of Business Administration.
